iLex welcomed visitors to its booth at the Hong Kong FinTech Festival (“HKFF”) 2020, which was held virtually on 2-6 November. iLex emerged as the winner of the Capital Markets track of the FintechHK Global Competition 2020, a signature programme held at the event aimed to offer a global platform for fintech companies to showcase their talent.

HKFF featured 350 prominent speakers, 500 digital exhibitors, and more than 20,000 attendees hailing from over 70 economies. Governments, regulators, and finance leaders joined entrepreneurs, investors, and visionaries to discuss fintech trends and opportunities in the post-COVID-19 era.

Fintech took on a special significance this HKFF due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has served as a catalyst for accelerated growth in the fintech community. These unprecedented circumstances have allowed Fintech to play a central role in addressing the needs and ensuring continuity of the financial sector in a time of critical need. HKFF also emphasized a golden opportunity for Fintech to revitalise growth, strengthen trust and financially empower society and businesses in the ‘new normal’.
